Aluminum Chlorohydrate is a high quality (highest active matter), high performance coagulant. It is commonly used in municipal and industrial treatment processes to remove particles and organic matter.
Aluminum Chlorohydrate [12359-72-7] is Pac product of specific composition, having r=2,5 (basicity %83). Aluminum Chlorohydrate is also used in antiperspirats regulated by the U.S. FDA. Aluminum Chlorohydrate solution is colorless in appearance, have %23-24 active matter, and low levels of iron, sulfate, metals(Ca,Mg,Na) and heavy metals(as PB-10 ppm). Typically, solutions@25C have specific gravities from 1,33-1,35 g/cm3 and viscosities from 40-60 cps.
Characterization of Aluminum Chlorohydrate has revealed a predominance (%88) of Al13 polymer with the balance being monomers and oligomers. The highly charged Al7+ 13 surrounded by Cl- counterions is self stabilized by repulsion forces, preventing association and subsequent aluminium hydroxide precipitation. Thus Aluminum Chlorohydrate solutions remain clear and free of precipitate after years of storage at room temperature.
The product offers higher performance at a lower dosage than more conventional coagulants, with very little effect on pH and consumption of alkali. Product Specifications
